If you DO NOT wish for the nomination to be put forward to the Ray White Whanganui Sports Awards 2018 there will be box to tick on the online  form!** RAY WHITE WHANGANUI SECONDARY SCHOOL SPORTS AWARDS The Whanganui Secondary School Sports Awards are held in school term four each year to gloat the sporting achievements of secondary schools wideness the Whanganui, Rangitikei and Ruapehu districts during the time period 1 October 2017 to 30 September 2018. The Awards are a unconfined way to recognise our region’s young people as athletes, coaches and volunteers. While the awards recurrence celebrates top performances, it is moreover well-nigh recognising student coaches, officials and their contribution to sport. As well as the awards recurrence itself, guests will be treated to drinks and nibbles and entertainment by guest speaker Rachel Māia, 1st International NZ Paraclimber. They should show a transferral to developing as an umpire through the year and exhibit the weightier qualities and characteristics of an official (e.g. fairness, communication, consistency, confidence, integrity, enjoyment, development). WSSMentorof the Year.Unshutto all student coaches who have excelled in performing at their role/displayed an outstanding performance during the qualifying period. They should exhibit impressive coaching qualities and attributes, exemplify pearly play, a positive coaching style, understanding and have success at coaching their athletes in skill and game development. WSS Junior Team of the Year.Unshutto a school team containing students that are Under 16 as at 1 January 2018 who have excelled in competition during the qualifying period. If the team is a mix of junior and senior students, the nomination will fall within the senior team category. This is the top performance competing at the highest level (local, regional, zone, national or international). WSS Senior Team of the Year.Unshutto a school team containing students that are Over 16 as at 1 January 2018 who have excelled in competition during the qualifying period. If the team is a mix of junior and senior students then the nomination will fall within the senior team category. This is the top performance competing at the highest level (local, regional, zone, national or international). WSS Disabled Sportsperson Recognition.Unshutto any individual or team, male, sexuality or mixed, junior or senior who has excelled in one or increasingly sports as a disabled athlete within the qualifying period. WSS Contribution to Sport Recognition - PLEASE ONLY COMPLETE SECTION 4.Unshutto any individual who has exemplified pearly play in all aspects of their sporting activities during their tenure at school. They must have shown leadership, role modeling, service surpassing self and a upper level of transferral to supporting & promoting sport at their school/community. WSS Recognition of Performance in Local Competition - Team and Individual SportsUnshutto any individual or team, male, sexuality or mixed, junior or senior who has represented their school and have displayed the weightier performance participating in a local competition (local competition is any league that runs 6 weeks or increasingly and is played in Whanganui, Ruapehu or Rangitikei). There may be multiple recipients for this recognition category. WSS Recognition of AchievementUnshutto any individual or team, male, sexuality or mixed, junior or senior who achieved at a upper level in their chosen activity. Students who compete in, officiate or mentor activities that are not recognised as official ‘sports’.
